Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi all! New here, so thanks in advance for your patience :)I've been a hormonal BC (combo pill) user for about 4 years. I originally went on the pill because of irregular periods. 4 years and 4 prescriptions later.... that hasn't changed much. In the past 6-7 months or so, long story short, the pill I was on REALLY messed with me emotionally/mentally and my gyno and I decided I'd be a good candidate for the IUD, and we ordered Mirena. I should be getting it in the next couple of weeks. In the 6ish month period I referenced above, I started dealing with some (what I am pretty sure is) hormonal acne - several big cysts on my chin that left not great dark marks around my cycle. I read here about spearmint tea and have been drinking 2 cups a day for about 2 weeks consistently, and this cycle I've had a couple small bumps but nothing nearly as bad. I've also started using Badescu vitamin C serum to fade some dark spots. As a general note, I tend to only break out on my chin - nothing truly terrible, but a few big guys around my cycle. Have also experienced breakouts on my cheeks. So, I've been reading a TON about how Mirena makes people suddenly have terrible cystic acne... I know to take everything with a grain of salt when it comes to BC, but I'm kinda VERY nervous now about my own situation. I'm definitely committed to trying it because I've seriously gone through emotional hell the past 6 months, but I'm really anxious about this developing for me.TL;DR - Trying to avoid the going off BC pill/going on Mirena related hormonal breakouts. Have been reading a ton about EPO, already drinking spearmint tea 2x/day and think I see improvement, would taking supplements in addition to tea be anti-androgen overload? does that exist/make sense?Any advice/experiences would be much appreciated! Thank you all so much!
