Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have been experiencing exactly this - persistent acne, often cystic, around my mouth, chin, and into jawline area. A few months ago I sought advice in this subreddit for treating light acne all over my face. Thus, I began using CeraVe products, primarily the foaming facial cleanser, daily moisturizer, and night serum. I definitely saw improvement in my skin, everywhere but my mouth/chin/jawline area.I finally saw my doctor today and I was shocked when she asked if I use Crest brand toothpaste. Why yes I do... Crest Pro-Health to be exact. In fact I switched to this brand about a year or so ago and definitely saw a decline in my skin quality but never attributed it to my brand of toothpaste.I found some interesting support for this online, see link below. The link appears to be ancecdotal evidence for the OP, but my doc has regularly seen this issue before. I will change brands and hopefully see an improvement, it's worth a shot. Just wanted to share with r/skincareaddiction. https://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/296193-persistent-chin-or-mouth-acne-try-changing-toothpastes/PS... folks I know in dentistry recommend the use of flouride toothpaste. I'm not suggesting eliminating the use of flouride, just looking into changing away from Crest as suggested by my doc.Credit to some users who posted similar topics (sorry not sure if I am linking correct, and sorry there are other posts on this topic too): https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/1icdv4/for_those_of_you_with_persistent_chin_breakouts/https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/acne/comments/5klgir/for_chin_acne_change_your_toothpaste/https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/2fjl0u/success_story_for_those_with_persistent_mouthchin/
