[acne] TIFU: How to repair skin damaged by glycolic acid overuse?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Yes, I was stupid. Very, very stupid. I've had a problem for two years now:In the summer of 2016, I learnt that the St Ives apricot scrub I'd been using recently was bad for my skin. Microtears etc. So I stopped using it and started reading up on what products I could try instead. I learnt about chem exfoliators, and started doing glycolic acid masks once a week. Caudalie glycolic acid mask. The results were FANTASTIC. My skin had never looked so good. I was getting comments about it from everyone. However, one small problem remained - the tiny little bumps (CCs, I think this sub calls them) along my jawline. So I became really stupid, and started using glycolic acid more and more. Caudalie twice a week, then three times a week. Still the CC's remained, and I was getting really annoyed. So I started using other products - REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, Korres Wild Rose 10% Peeling Mask. Almost every night.I know some of you are going "Oh, sweet Jesus" by now. Yup. Told you it was bad. And it's been almost 2 years, and I've had bad, bad acne ever since. My once-perfect skin is now horribly sensitive, and riddled in hyperpigmentation marks. Sometimes I get really sad looking at it and cry a bit at how I ruined my own skin. I need makeup every day to cover it up, but in a month I'll be visiting my boyfriend in Spain and I want these gone. I've stopped using glycolic acid (long ago). What can I do to repair my skin and make it less sensitive again? And how can I lose the hyperpigmentation quickly? I'm really scared to experiment now. Please help me, guys, I'm so sad.
