Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've seen a few posts on here where people are saying they had bad experiences with an entire brand, but upon closer inspection, these people did not use the products in the way they were intended. One person bought 5 products from Brand A (including 2 exfoliants), started using them all immediately 2x/day, layered them completely out of order, and then said they were "disappointed" when they had a bad breakout a few months later.Another person bought almost the entire line of Brand B, then used each product for "7-10 days" with no regard for the fact that a) most acids and actives should be introduced slowly over 4-6 weeks, b) it TAKES over 8 weeks to see results with most actives, and c) different products should be targeted for different skin concerns. When none of the products were 7-day magic, this person said they were "not impressed with the brand."I understand that popular brands like Drunk Elephant and CeraVe and TO and even Vaseline don't work for everyone. We all have different skin and skin types. But the skincare 'gurus' I trust won't even review a single product before they've used it for 3-4 months (unless it breaks them out right away, which still comes with the caveat that everyone's skin is different). And as far as an entire brand, it's not fair to say it's no good if you're not using its products how they were intended.Edits: Typos.
