Beauty Tips For Body Care
I’ve recent started taking antihistamines daily to help with allergies (10mg of generic prescription Zyrtec), and I noticed that it dried me the hell out, everywhere. I was already a big water drinker, but now I feel like I might as well just wear a Camelbak everywhere, and I’ve found I need to actually apply lotion to my whole body, not just my hands. On the plus side, my generically hyper-oily hair and skin have also dried out a bit, so my makeup isn’t sliding off my face by 11 am!I did a bit of research and found that antihistamines do in fact reduce sebum production and in some cases can be used as part of an acne treatment regime. https://commons.pacificu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?referer=https://www.google.ca/&httpsredir=1&article=1555&context=paPlease note: I’m not a doctor, I’m not your doctor, I’m not suggesting we all run out and stock up on Zyrtec and Claritin. My points are:a) Discussing antihistamines with your doctor might be useful, particularly if you have super oily skin.b) If you take antihistamines daily and have dry skin, the meds might be contributing to that dryness.
