[Misc] R&D Cosmetic Chemist reporting for duty (`-´)>. Here to answer your questions about ingredients, formulating, and manufacturing! AMA!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been a R&D cosmetic chemist/engineer for about 3 years now working on skin care and some hair care. My daily duties involve meeting with suppliers, potential customers, researching new ingredients with clinical data, designing formulas, scale up protocols for manufacturing on a large scale, and reviewing global regulations and safety data. When designing a formula I’m given a sample product on the market (e.g. drunk elephant vitamin c serum) by our marketing team, and I try to reverse engineer something like it. Then I check global compliance, create an ingredient list, test it for safety, put together a marketing story, and scale it up for mass production.Pictures: Skincare Battlestation A tube sealer and turbo mixer ProofIf you have any questions on any of that or just want to ask how my day is going ask away /r/SkinCareAddiction!Edit: Sorry everyone I'm trying to desperately to answer everyone but I have to go run a couple errands. I'll be back in an hour or two and will continue to answer everyone!
