[Review] Bioré Face Milk (white bottle)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi there! This is my first foray into using physical sunscreen, and I wanted to share my experience so far. I've been using Bioré Perfect Face Milk SPF 50 for about a month.TL;DR This is a great everyday sunscreen and makes my skin look radiant! If you have dry skin, make sure you are using a good moisturizer underneath it.Here is an Imgur album with a few photos.I ordered this from Amazon and it came in about two weeks, shipped from Japan. My first thought when I received it was, holy crap this is tiny! The bottle fits in the palm of my hand. Clearly my mistake for not properly reading the size description. I am finding that a little does go a long way with this sunscreen, though. The amount shown in photo #2 covers about half of my face. There is no scent at all to this product, which I love because sunscreen smell is not my favorite.I tried to match the lighting in the before/after application photos as well as possible to show that this sunscreen definitely leaves a white cast. I didn't realize how much of a cast it left until I took these photos, so it's not a dealbreaker for me at least. If you are already pale like myself, or wear foundation daily, it shouldn't be an issue. My only gripe with this sunscreen is that it pills if you are not 1) super moisturized and 2) if you attempt to put on makeup shortly after applying. On the first point, I have gathered from reading reviews that this product seems to work best for oily skin. I have combo-bordering-on-dry skin & live in a dry climate, but I always keep my skin super moisturized, so I haven't had too many issues with this. I started wearing Vaseline overnight since purchasing this sunscreen and that has really helped with both my overall skin texture/moisture level, and ease of application. I also find that it helps to spread it all over my face and pat it in more than rub it in to avoid pilling. On the second point, most days I leave the apartment with no makeup on, walk to the train, and put on the basics (concealer, mascara, eyebrow gel) on my way to work. This gives the sunscreen 10-15 minutes to sink in and I don't have too much of an issue as long as I do my eyebrows last. However, if I am wearing a full face of makeup, I need to wait 20-30 minutes for the sunscreen to fully absorb - I use a foundation brush, and if the sunscreen isn't fully absorbed I'll get little white pills all over my face.I don't have too much commentary on how this holds up with sweat. Supposedly it is "super waterproof", but when I know I'm going to be sweating a lot, I use my chemical sunscreen (Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch). There is a specific version of this product meant for outdoors/sports and it has very promising reviews, so I will probably give that a go when I run out of my Neutrogena. My absolute favorite thing about this sunscreen is how amazing my skin looks and feels with it!! My chemical sunscreen offers great protection, but it tends to make my face look shiny and doesn't provide any sort of moisturizing effects. The 5th photo in the album I linked to gives an idea of how radiant my skin looks with this sunscreen. My face stays moisturized & smooth throughout the day! As I mentioned, my skin tends to be more on the dry side, but I get slightly oily spots around the mid-afternoon, which I correct by using oil absorbing pads. Since using this sunscreen, I have seen a dramatic decrease in the amount of oil that ends up on those pads.Overall, I'd give this a 9/10. Love how amazing my skin looks while using it, and for $10? Yes please. I could easily see myself purchasing all of the varieties of this.I hope this was helpful and I am happy to answer any questions!
