Beauty Tips For Body Care
I was on Accutane in college, helped clear things right up, but now (about five years later) the acne is coming back.I have combination skin with a smattering of cyclic/hormonal cysts along jaw, in addition to the type of acne I had before---deep cysts on cheeks, cheekbones, and forehead. I also have small blackheads on my nose and even into my forehead (between the eyebrows). Currently in late 20's with wrinkles forming on forehead. Lately noticing enlarged pores on my cheeks too, right next to nose and under eyes.I saw a PA who prescribed clindamycin/Benzoyl peroxide topical cream for the morning, with Retin-A for the evening. So far I haven't had too much dryness because I've been easing into the retinol. However, I have had some burning when I use my other products---so this is where I need some help. After splashing face with water and applying the benzoyl cream in the a.m. I use:Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers SPF moisturizer-or-Aveeno Smart Essentials Daily Nourishing Moisturizer with SPFWhat I use is really just random. Generally the glow sheers moisturizer is used when I'm wearing some eye makeup too and want to look a little more put together. Aveeno is used on other daysAfter cleansing face in the evening with Cetaphil and then applying the retin-A, I use:Cerave moisturizing skin renewing night creamOn days when I'm not doing Retin-A, I use Mario Badescu AHA & Ceramide moisturizer.Do you skin-care experts of Reddit have any suggestions for how I can improve this routine? I'm concerned, more than anything, about the moisturizers I use in the morning and at night. I get burning/acheing on my skin after applying that eventually goes away after a few minutes, but it doesn't quite feel right, and I'm still getting the acne (likely because I just started the topical creams about two weeks ago).Any thoughts/suggestions/and product pairings would be helpful. I'm on a budget to an extent but can splurge a little for effective & healthy ingredients.
