[misc] how do you prevent your hair from getting greasy from skincare?

I love sluglife and all that but it gets in my hair at night. Sleeping in a ponytail or with a hair band is super uncomfortable, so I just wash my hair every morning which is a shame coz it's clean except for the vaseline on it... How do you deal with this?
