[misc] [diet] Fasting is the only thing that controls my acne. What can I deduce from this so that I don't have to choose between food and clear skin? (Warning: weird)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
So when I began intermittent fasting, I noticed that towards the end of my fasting window my skin would be much less angry and inflamed.Increasing the fasting time increased the results. I have just finished a 4 day fast after a massive breakout of painful cystic acne and the results were better than ever. Two days into my fast, my inflammation and oil production plummeted to the point where I had to use moisturiser rather than blotting papers in the middle of the day.I also noticed a massive difference to hair fall. Usually my hair comes out in literal handfuls throughout the day. I don't have bald patches or noticeable thinning so I just thought it was normal for me.But again, 2 days into my fast I noticed that my hair stopped falling out.By day three, my boyfriend turned to me and said out of the blue: "You look really well" – which is not what you would expect for someone who hasn't eaten for 3 days.Trouble is, I can't keep fasting. I had to stop this one before I crossed the "underweight" BMI threshold. Also, food is life.I'm now attempting keto to see if the effect is the same, but it's extremely restrictive as I'm also vegan, and I don't want to live like this. I'd rather find the underlying mechanism and treat that as this is obviously not normal (and carbs are life too).I know this is kind of weird and kind of a long shot, but does anyone have any insights into what might be going on?Edit: I should add that this only really began 2 years ago. Before that I could eat anything I wanted and had perfect skin.
