Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster.I have always been very lucky with my skin. I did not take good care of it in my teens but only really got spots when I was due on my period, and that has continued into adulthood (I'm currently 24).Since I've started having a BASIC skincare routine (4 years ish?) I've continued to have good skin. My routine is Clean and Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser (purely because I can see the dirt on the pad after using it), then Simple Micellar Water followed by Simple Light Moisturiser. I rarely use the moisturiser now due to the problems I'll explain below...So the issue: Forehead bumps which periodically become very red and swollen that never go away. They are all clustered around my T-Zone mainly, and are starting to give me confidence issues, which I'm just not used to having with my skin. What I believe caused them is over-exfoliating. My dad bought a face scrub (yay, microbeads) 2 years ago but gave it to me pretty much straight away as it irritated his skin. I used it during a pamper session one evening and loved how fresh it made me feel, so I continued to use it. I got to a point that I used it probably once every 1-2 days for about 2 weeks.I began to break out on my forehead in big, painful, under the skin spots that never came to a head. I stopped using the scrub at this point. Since then I have continuously had issues with spots on my forehead. I haven't had an issue with many large under the skin spots since the initial issues, however I have little bumps that I cannot shift. They will be 'dormant' for a period of time and then all explode at once out of nowhere. Some are blackheads and some are whiteheads, some don't come to a head. However they are all in exactly the same places every time. I am now so conscious of them that I am considering getting a fringe back (which I have just managed to grow out!) to cover them. I've stopped moisturising now as I feel like this may be making them worse?Has anyone experience similar? What can be done about them? Can anyone recommend some products in the UK that may banish them once and for all? Thanks, hope I got all the info in.
