Beauty Tips For Body Care
The last six months I've been tackling hormonal acne around my jawline (27/F) and recently got a tretinoin prescription from a derm (using for last two months). That's definitely helped to control it, but new active ones are still rearing their heads every few days. I went to my primary care doctor and asked if I should be concerned about what's going on with my hormones. He told me it's not a big deal and to avoid going on birth control for my skin. However, I'm still confused about why we treat hormonal acne topically. Even though my skin has improved since using tret, will hormonal acne persist indefinitely if the root of the problem isn't targeted?
