Hello!I'm predominantly a lurker on this thread and have upped my skincare game and routine over the past several months and am forever grateful.Two things I recently started doing that seem obvious, but obviously not to me, and I thought I'd share.- I now actually bring my skincare to my hairline. I have the sort of face where facing front-on in the mirror, it looks like I've covered my whole face in product, but if I don't make sure to properly go in with the skin stuff, I tend to miss a huge rim on my hairline, particularly past my cheeks. This became more obvious with the zinc-y suncream I use that makes me purple for twenty minutes while it sinks in, and I realised side-on there was a good couple of cm's that didn't have coverage. I'm now paying much more attention to getting within mms of the hairlinle instead of like 5 cm's away, and I've noticed that its making a difference! (Seems obvious, but just thought I would share). Likewise, I have a prominent nose, and I tend to neglect getting right in under all the nooks and crannies and like round the sides properly in there up the philtrum and round the outside (where I have a bit of redness) and its been nice because now its actually getting the stuff it needs and is making my face look better.- I also now apply the product first on the problem area and then spread it out. I used to sort of just slap it on somewhere in the middle of my face to spread out, but I enjoy (say) starting my vit-c on the reddest parts of my face and move outwards, so i know i 100% get full concentrate on that spot and its not just getting half leftovers. I feel like this too has added a nice difference.Just felt like sharing because IDK it seems basic, but when you either come from really basic skincare where you are pretty fast and loose with moisturiser and just sort of slap it on, i think its easy to forget there's more to your face than a quick slap will reach. Or you're so used to doing it you get in bad habits of neglecting little square inches of your face.
