Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I’ve noticed there isn’t much about this product online and decided to post a preliminary review. I call it preliminary because I just started using it and cannot say anything about its effects on my skin. I will update this review in a month to share what was the effect (if any). Background info33yo, FMy skin is… well it’s normal (I know, right!). Not too oily, not too dry. Leans drier in winter (i.e. now). It used to be dry and atopic though. So I am inherently allergic to many things. A bit of HYPOpigmentation (post inflammatory, most likely from my dermatitis), and a bit of hyperpigmentation from sun exposure. Closed comedones (they are much less now thanks to acids).Product texture and smellIt’s silicone. You know that silicon feeling, slippery and silky. Not too runny, not too thick No scent apart from that distinct LAA smell (LAA has a specific light smell, not offensive). Spreads easy, 1.5 pumps is ebough for the whole face.User experienceWhen I read the product description first I was a bit confused about evaporating silicones. I read smth about them in hair products but never heard about them in skincare. I’m sure it’s a common class of ingredients; we just don’t talk much about evaporating silicones. I generally don’t mind silicones; I have nothing against them especially given that it is such a big class of substances. I own NIOD’s Hydration Vaccine which is basically just silicone occlusive and I love it. So I thought STRATIA C+C serum will feel smth like NIOD HV. But I was wrong! Initially it is slippery and silky like your standard silicone product. But then in 1-2 minutes it disappears! I mean you put in on your face, feel that silicone film and then if you touch your face couple of minutes later it’s like nothing is there, just skin. I love it! I use it in the morning, so since it disappears it does not interfere with subsequent products that I use (Stratia Liquid Gold and Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue tinted moisturizer). So I think the delivery vehicle for LAA in this product is awesome. It does what it says – it deposits LAA on your skin and then evaporates.Final thoughtsI can’t vouch for this product’s performance yet because it’s been only a week that I am using it (daily, AM). But the user experience has been pleasant. I also like the fact that this serum is anhydrous. It has solid science behind it, good concentration, good packaging (should be stable), and pleasant price point. I have experienced no irritation, no greasy film, no stinging.I should note that it’s my first LAA product. I’ve tried vit C in a form of MAP and Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution and both did nothing for me. So I’ve decided to try LAA. Since MAELOVE serum was sold out I bought this one and I should say I am happy with my choice so far.My routine (in case anyone wonders)AM: splash of water ->STRATIA C+C serum - > STRATIA Liquid Gold (this is a magic goo, I m telling you!) - > makeupPM: Hada Labo oil cleanser+Hada Labo foam cleanser (the one with the pump) - > AHA currently Lactic acid 5% TO (alternate with COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid –BHA in the form of betaine salycilate) - > STRATIA Liquid GoldSo basically my routine is for focused on textural issues (CC’s) and pigmentation. However I’d say the basic (i.e non active “support”) product (moisturizer) rather unexpectedly made the biggest difference lately. And it is Liquid Gold from STRATIA. So I am placing a lot of expectations on their C+C Serum now.
