Y'All Are More Helpful Than My Derm [Personal]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I just wanted to thank everyone in this sub for your helpful recommendations. I have rosacea and I've been a long-time lurker and advice-taker. The condition of my face has gotten much better after using some azelaic acid and niacinamide serums recommended here. While this is DEFINITELY not always the case, you all have been leagues more helpful than the dermatologist I just saw.I recently saw some startling blue veins show up on my face, and so I thought it might be best to see a dermatologist. I haven't been to a dermatologist since 2008 when I got my rosacea diagnosis. I'm a student and it's too expensive for me to allocate money toward that.Well, I saved up and went last week. It was an all-around terrible experience. I waited for a total of 70 minutes (my derm was 50 minutes late and I arrived 20 minutes early). When I finally saw the derm, she looked at my face and said "yeah, I can fix that with a laser." Then, she moved straight into a sales pitch, trying to sell me different meds and lotions that would make me feel more "luminous." I redirected her several times to my redness concerns (on my face and elsewhere). When I asked her about the little red dots on my arms and legs (pretty sure it's KP), she just said I was more vascularized than most people and there was nothing to reduce the redness. It was so frustrating.I asked my three friends in med school if this was the norm, and they said that derm can get pretty sleezy and sales-y.
