[DIY] The right way of doing turmeric mask (without staining)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I just recently saw a post here that turmeric mask caused a lot of staining. Also in the comments I could see a lot of people had a similar experience. And it made me really sad because turmeric mask has worked wonderfully for me. I had moderate acne. I used benzoyl peroxide and AHA+BHA face wash prescribed by my dermatologist. But I would get frequent breakouts. Finally I stopped using benzoyl peroxide altogether and switched to using turmeric mask. My acne from cheeks has gone completely, scars have reduced a lot. I still have some pimples coming up on nose and chin. So here's my method of using turmeric mask.Using only turmeric will definitely cause a lot of staining. So turmeric should be ~10% of your mask content. The remaining 90% of your mask should be selected according to your skin type. I have an oily t-zone and dry areas around my cheeks. So I use a mix of Fuller's earth and chickpea flour. You can replace these with any other ingredients that work for you and give it a try. Experiment till you reach a favourable proportion. Clay masks will dry out oily areas, and chickpea floor balances that out with its sticky texture.Add 1 tsp of honey or aloe vera gel to make it a little more moisturizing.Add water till consistency is good for you.Apply the mask only after cleansing your face.Keep the mask on till it's almost dried but not completely dry and cracking. Around 10 to 15 mins works for me.Wash mask with warm water, and massage gently while washing, not too aggressively.Moisturize after if needed. It may still leave very very minor staining, so I recommend using it before bed, the staining will disappear by morning.I did this every day initially, and then started doing it on alternate days before bed.I could see results within a week. My skin was not too dry or too oily. Scarring had reduced. If an occasional pimple would show up but it would disappear within a day.Again use your judgement and see what works for you. Just wanted to share my experience since it worked for me. :)
