Beauty Tips For Body Care
My mom graciously gifted me some TO products earlier this month and I thought I would do a short review on these products as some of them are newer to The Ordinary product line.My skin/skincare concerns: 27/F I have dehydrated skin with some mild breakouts here and there. My main concerns are reducing some signs of aging as well as overall hydration.Squalane cleanser: I wanted to not like this due to the price per ounce but omg. I’m in love. It transforms in to a smooth balm texture. Granted, I don’t wear a lot of makeup but this successfully takes all of it off. If I were wearing a full face of makeup I’m worried this wouldn’t get all of it off. I think my favorite aspect of this cleanser is that it washes off clean without leaving an oily residue and doesn’t require a second cleanse (I’m super lazy at night so this is a huge plus for me). If they make this in a larger bottle (with a pump maybe) then I’ll buy this til the end of time. However, the current price per ounce is pretty miserable so if I can find a good dupe for this I’ll switch. Price: $7.90 for 50mlBuffet + copper peptides: Not counting my curology formula or sunscreen (both products I won’t compromise on), this is the most expensive product in my routine. It definitely smells strange .. reminds me of school glue mixed with vinegar? To be honest, the scent doesn’t really bother me though because I only use this in the PM. It also leaves my skin kind of tacky but again, only using it at night this isn’t an issue. I *think* this is brightening my skin and softening some lines around my eyes. I’m excited to see the progress as I continue to use this. Will I repurchase? I’m not sure just yet. I’m hoping I can find a similar product for cheaper. Prices: $28.90 for 30ml100% Plant-derived squalane oil: You guys. YOU GUYS. Where has this been my whole life. I have dry skin year round, and I live in an arid climate so my skin can get super dry super fast. This oil stops all dryness in its tracks. I wake up to my skin so pump and SO SMOOTH. And my skin stays baby soft all day! My skin absolutely loves this oil. There’s no scent at all and it’s easy to spread all over my face. My only complaint is it’s quite oily, more so than other oils I’ve used in the past. But even that isn’t enough for me to stop using this. I’ll have this in my routine for years to come. Price: $7.90 for 30ml
