[misc] Has anyone else been annoyed with all these "love yourself threads"?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I know it's good to remind others especially who is suffering dysmorphia that it's no one has "perfect skin" and youthful skin isn't everything. Like originally the threads were nice to remind people that imperfections are ok...but I now I am seeing these threads multiple times a day, and i'm starting to feel it's a bandwagon just to get karma and those platinum or gold awards (so many of these threads I see get those awards). Also these bandwagon "love yourself" threads are starting to borderline shaming us for wanting to look goodSunscreen - it's annoying hearing how we are bad to use sunscreen for aesthetics reasons more than medical. And it sometimes feel condescending when the get all "embrace your age and wrinkles!!" Look we all know wrinkles is inevitable.....but the sun causes 90% of PREMATURE aging. What's wrong with avoiding something that is preventable? idc what anyone says, many people DO NOT want to have skin that is more aged than they are. And if you don't care? fine but don't give this all "love your self" speech because I want to prevent premature aging.Spending money on high end products - If you can afford it then that's fine. Yeah many high end products are a waste of money and are expensive because of the name and packaging, but there are ALSO products that are expensive because of the amount of research been gone into it to make sure it's effective. I been using Osmosis at one of those facial spas and my skin has never been this good in forever. Yeah sometimes expensive doesn't always mean it's a scam. Every sunscreen gives me that greasy shiny look I hate....the only one that makes my skin look even better than before is expensive (Tatcha sunscreen)Confidence & Loving yourself - Having better skin boots confidence for so many people and the accept yourself speech doesn't always work, especially for people with severe acne (No I am not saying the speech should not be used but with extreme acne cases....the love yourself and accept it just won't cut it). There are outliers that learn to embrace cycstic acne that takes over 80% of their face (saw a youtube video on one girl with severe acne who learned to embrace it) but many can't and that's ok. I don't think I can be as strong as people with severe acne and there is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with find treatment to be confident and not worry if people are staring.I am allowed to be annoyed about a pimple or clogged pores. Yeah striving for perfect skin is unhealthy.....but there is nothing wrong with striving for the best skin we can possibly get. Skin care is a marathon so heck I will be doing research on the best ways to improve or maintain skin quality for awhile anyways
