[Misc] Could Glycerin give my skin a burning sensation?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
So I noticed that many of the moisturizers I used gave me the 'burning' sensation. Not too awful to be honest, because it went away after a few minutes, and nothing bad seemed to come after that. However all of those moisturisers were supposed to be "gentle", friendly to sensitive skin etc. (like Drunk Elephant, Simple Skincare, Clinique Dramatically Different Gel etc. which all claim to be fragrance free, alcohol free etc etc). When I compare some of those products, I'm super surprised to find that Glycerin is the only common ingredient!Isn't Glycerin supposed to be super mild and safe for skin? Again nothing bad happened (didn't break me out or anything), but every time I put a dollop of moisturisers on my face, I had to blend it out super quickly else it will burn.Anyone have same experience/ explanation?
