Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey SCA! For the past few months, I’ve been browsing this sub and enjoying the useful plethora of skincare advice and information. It’s helped my skin out a lot, and I finally have a routine I’m comfortable with. However, I still get the occasional breakout, and sometimes I’m a little too hard on myself for it, so lemme tell you something that helped me understand my skin... You are a human being. Human beings have skin issues from time to time, it’s inevitable. Having acne or rosacea doesn’t make you ugly, and it is okay to go out in public with breakouts. You are not a walking sex object, you are not meant to be found attractive by everyone. Having acne doesn’t make you abnormal or an outsider. Sometimes, a lot of the time, your skin condition is a product of your genetics. No amount of moisturizers/toners/chemical peels/exfoliants will completely fix that (although they can definitely help). Looking at your acne/pih/whatever else from 2 inches away on your phone camera or in the mirror will only psych you out. I promise NOBODY is taking you that seriously, nor will anybody look that closely at your face.At the end of the day, skincare is a super valid commitment to make. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t even want acne myself. But we are human beings. We cannot physically be perfect. We are always gonna be changing and shifting, we are always gonna have blemishes. So accept that, and be kind to your skin. It’s a part of you.Best wishes everyone, and take care of yourself. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
