[Haul] It was SO difficult to only buy a few small things in Harajuku, especially because things like Hado Labo and DHC were almost half the online US price. I could have done some serious damage had I not had to travel with it all!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I got tons of stuff from Tsukiji Market like traditional 1600's recipe Sake (supposedly good for your skin to drink Sake) and a huge rock of Himalayan Black Salt which is super pungent but really good (the older man selling it said it is good for spa use because of the sulpur on problem skin) and a ton of other really cool items. I had to balance my purchases because I only brought one extra luggage.Buuut, this is about actual skincare products lol. These are the products I brought home from Tokyo! ** Let me also preface this with stating that I am aware that it is a lot of plastic, and I wouldn't typically even buy even paper towels that come individually wrapped inside more plastic for example. My day to day is more conscious, but I was on vacation so I bought what I wanted for the week. Japan treats trash very differently.. even at a luxury hotel, you were still expected to seperate your own trash. They have recycling bins every 100 feet on the streets and each trash has 3 slots to be seperated by plastic, non-combustible and combustible. Just wanted to throw it out there that I am aware. ** I'll be the big 3-0 in 6 days, normal skin/slightly oily in warmer weather. I didn't really have time to research brands heavily so I just purchased popular and inexpensive items that I came across since returns are not an option and my Japanese is limited to basic communication. My normal skincare is mostly geared towards hydration and anti-aging. SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion and Cotton Pads: The price was great, but I also wanted the Japanese version of the bottle. I paid $49 tax free, which is amazing. I've been using this for a long time along with the Essence and Moisurizer, can't say good enough things about them. It's a milder active formula so I am able to use it in combination with my Fabior, TNS Repair, REN Ready Steady Glow Tonic and other serums throughout the week without issue. I had never tried the cotton pads before and I like them more than the Shisedo. The two are very similar, but the SK-II is a tad bigger and sturdier. The Shisedo pads tend to fall apart if you use them for micellar water and removing makeup, these hold together perfectly. Hado Labo Shirojyun Mini Whitening Set: Contains the Gokojyun Face Wash, Oil Cleanser, Whitening Water and Milk containing Arbutin and Vitamin C. I buy a lot of chemical exfoliants and dark spot serums so I chose this set for that reason. I already have a full bottle of the cleanser and use it occasionally. Hado Labo Premium Hyaluronic Solution: I'm sure I don't need to explain this Hado Labo product to anyone here, lol. Feels good, not sticky and you only need a few small drops. Again, I just love my stockpile of hydrating products. Kose Sekkisei Medicated Enriched: You can read more about it here if you are interested. I have a huge collection of essences and hydrating products so I picked up a mini of this to try. Kose Sekkisei Lotion Mist: I was bummed that I didn't have time to hunt down the full size. I grabbed this from the airport because it was sold out at the shop I went to find it. I love mists and essences so this stuck out to me because it's an aerosol lotion mist. It feels SO good to apply and it's very moisturizing. I love convenience products. Shisedo Perfect Cleansing Sheets: I normally purchase the Shisedo wipes from Sephora, but they do not carry that version in Japan. I was hoping to find them cheaper than $20 there, but they only had this version. These were a about $4 per pack of 11, and while not as luxurious feeling.. the formula seems to be pretty similar. The wipe just isn't as soft as my normal ones. DHC Clear Powder Face Wash: This is probably my favorite find. I use the Amore Pacific Papaya Enzyme Powder Cleanser so I assumed it to be similar.. and it is. It's more comparable to the Gentle version of the Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder, and I am personally able to use that daily without issue. I swear by the enzyme powders since they are amazing with pigmentation issues, so this was a really good thing to stumble across. Hado Labo Deep Whitening Mask Set: These are non-woven and contain tranexamic acid, anti-inflammatory ingredients, 2 types of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C derivatives and vitamin E. I've always found Whitening products in Asian Beauty to work well, so I hope these will too. I typically use the OHUI Snow White Mask so these caught my eye. Kose Sekkisei Mask Enriched: Basically their Snow Skin Whitening Essence product concentrated into a sheet mask, the enriched is added moisturizers. The woman at Ainz & Tulpe (an amazing skincare shop) in Harajuku recommended it highly. DHC Otomari Set: Otomari means sleepover and I grabbed this from a Matsumoto Kiyoshi, which is basically a massive CVS found all over Tokyo. This has a full skincare routine, body cleansers, lotions, oils and hair care products in 14 packets, which is amazingly convenient to throw in an overnight bag effortlessly.. or for your tinder date lol. This was a really neat find. DHC Flavored Moisture Lip Cream: I am SO upset that I hadn't bought this sooner. It has such a unique aroma and I can't stop using it. The formula is basic but good.. it's just the Honey aroma that makes me want to use it all day. It's not like anything I have ever tried before, very different.
