Beauty Tips For Body Care
I love vanicream, I’ve been using it since I was an infant (my poor mom had to slather me in it lol) and it’s always been amazing for my dry skin and eczema. But, I was recently noticing that my skin (on legs) was a bit more dry than usual and I was trying to think of what was causing it. I was going through possible sources of the problem and I eventually realized I had recently been waiting about 10 minutes after I showered to put on my lotion!I’ve been going to the same allergist ever since I was a baby and he’s always told me to use vanicream (due to sensitive skin, eczema, and allergies) and put it on within 3 minutes of washing your face, because that’s how it keeps the moisture in your skin (due to all of the emollients in it, I believe). I also used to put it on my hands, add petroleum jelly over that, and then socks over them to sleep in, and that seriously saves my skin in winter months. Highly recommend the sock trick if you have dry, cracked hands!I just wanted to make a little PSA in case anyone hadn’t heard of this “rule” before and wanted to know about it!
