[Sun Care] when re-applying sunscreen, do you use the same recommended amount?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
sooo like many of you, i'm pretty serious about sunscreen. thanks to this sub, i now know more about wavelengths, PPD, filter photo-stability, modern filters vs old, asian vs. euro, etc., than i have any business knowing :)i know re-application is super important. during our first application of the day (and with the right amount of product), we in theory are creating an even film of broad spectrum uv protection. as the day wears on, it wears off...things like sweat, touching our faces, even applying makeup to a small degree, can all affect the integrity of that protective layer. re-application is must to make sure the same evenness and density is maintained throughout the day.my question is - is it really necessary to re-apply the recommended 2mg/cm2, or more broadly used 1/4 tsp with each re-application? assuming you're using only photo-stable modern filters (older filters begin to degrade when exposed to the sun), and taking measures not to disrupt the sunscreen film, would it be safe to assume there are still a decent amount of active filters covering your face, and that maybe something like half the amount (maybe a little more) would be enough to kind of spackle over what's been worn down? figured someone may have a UV camera and may have tested this out.or should i just err on the side of caution and re-apply the same amount? just trying to see if i can get away with going through less sunscreen :)
