[Misc] Anyone have any small skincare tips/tricks they love? Examples of mine in the text!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi! As I was doing my skincare routine this morning, I noticed I have a couple small things that I do that I think makes a difference in my skin! Anyone else do these too? Or have any other little tricks that you do?I put my cleanser on completely dry skin first. Then after massaging it in for about 30 seconds-1 minute (when it’s gets completely sticky/dry), I wet it and massage it in for another 30ish seconds before washing it off. My reason behind this has been from conclusions of my own lol In researching skincare, I learned that surfactants have one end that’s hydrophobic and the other is hydrophilic. That being said, I feel like in using the cleanser dry first, it allows the hydrophobic end to really pick up dirt and sebum uninterrupted by water before I wet it so the dirt/sebum can now attach to the water and rinse off. (Another tip in that is that I make sure to spend 1 minute-1.5 minutes cleaning my face with both my oil and face cleanser, each. I noticed a lot of people run their cleanser in for like 20 seconds and I feel like you’re not really letting it work when you do that. Just like I take time to work soap into my body when I’m showering, I think you should do the same for your face.). I think this in combination with using ingredients that work (as compared to when I first started skincare), has made a difference in the smoothness/texture/pores.Ah, that first one was long but I have one more!I use multiple layers of toner, and in between every step! I remember when I first started learning about skin care years ago and I fell into the common trap of thinking toners were basically an extra “cleansing” steps. Eventually I learned what they were actually originally for and I now use a hydrating toner I made myself. Now this might sound crazy to some people, but after I wash my cleanser off, I follow with 2 layers of the toner, a serum, 2 more layers of toner and then a lightweight moisturizer. I have very oily skin and I’ve found this works so well in making my skin feel way more hydrated than if I were to just use one layer before the serum, but also without looking greasy/oily, even throughout the day! I used to use a lot of moisturizer, but I’ve found that by the time I do the 2 layers after my serum, I now use a dime size like I should! Lol if I would try to use so little before, my skin would just feel still slightly dry.Anyone else have any little tips they do that they think helps?
