Beauty Tips For Body Care
Just wanted to share some of the good news and tell you what products did it.I’ve had some success with glowy skin using Timeless Vitamin C, but the thing that really did it was:Acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment + Adapalene 0.3% + Etude House SoonJung Cica BalmI’ve been using Adapalene 0.3% for a couple of months now, but it was the addition of the two that really helped.I apply the Adapalene at night, wait 30 minutes and then apply the Cica Balm. I’m the morning I apply the Benzoyl Peroxide. Then I apply Etude House SoonJung 2x Intensive Barrier Cream (and occasionally the Hada Labo Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion underneath).I don’t think it’s important but my cleanser is Zapzyt Salicylic Acid (remember to wash for 30-60 seconds 2x a day).I’m surprised by the amount of flaking I’ve had in the first week, but it seems to be calming down (which might take away my glow but I’ll enjoy it for now). I might throw in a 15% salicylic acid peel every once in awhile, but I’m going to be more cautious about it than I used to since my skin is pretty sensitive from all of the actives I’ve used.Anyway, I recommend the Adapalene + benzoyl peroxide + Cica Balm combo. It makes a lot of sense. If the four hypothesized ways that acne develops is 1) P. acnes 2) Hyperkeratinization 3) inflammation 4) excessive sebum productionBP takes care of 1, Adapalene takes care of 2 and 4 (and a little bit 3), 2x washing helps 4 and moisturizing helps 3 (and arguably 4), Cica Balm takes care of 3
