Beauty Tips For Body Care
RAVE: The Ordinary Azeliac Acid Suspension 10%OMG!! Finally an AA that doesn’t make me want to rub my face off due to the extreme itchiness!!I have rosacea. It’s the red face, scaley skin and pustules. From Day 1, no progression. It affects the side of my neck and face, my temples and will gradually work it’s way to under my eyes, cheeks and nose. So red patches with red bumps and/or pustules. AA is amazing for this condition. But I used Finacea and Skinoren back in the day (about 15 years ago) and while it completely calmed my skin and eradicated the bumps, i could NOT tolerate the extreme itchiness. I literally wanted to rub my face against the carpet. So when The Ordinary came out with their AA stuff, i immediately passed based on my experiences.Currently I’m battling cancer (breast) and my first two chemo drugs (to find that silver lining) were awesome for my skin. I have super oily skin. Like oil within 20 minutes. But the chemo drugs stopped that. My makeup looked superb all day long. I even had folks commenting on how great my skin and makeup looked. Because it also apparently killed off whatever causes my rosacea. and any internal acne triggers. Then I was switched to another chemo drug and it doesn’t help with my skin :(. Also doesn’t make me sick as hell or deplete all my damn energy like the other others so.. give and take. can’t win them all. :)I also bought a shit ton of tea from Tiesta Tea wittily knowing tea can also trigger rosacea. I drank like 10-15 cups of tea two weekends ago trying them all.Holy crap!! My rosacea did not like that at all and since it wasn’t being controlled/suppressed by the initial chemo drugs, it let me know!I should have taken pics to show how well this product worked in just 3 days. I haven’t had to use a full coverage foundation in YEARS and haven’t needed any concealer since November at least. When the rosacea hit full force, I needed my full coverage liquid foundation (Estee Lauder), my MUFE water proof concealer and my foundation powder (IT Cosmetics) to cover up the redness and bumps that appeared in 1-3 days.So I would use my TO Niacinamide and Zinc with my HA serum AM and PM plus my ProActiv sulfur mask (ONLY good thing to come out of that line) while waiting for the TO order to come. It got rid of the scales at least and brought the bumps down.I applied my moisturizers like normal that night the order came in and very very hesitantly applied the AA in small amounts around my face, just waiting for that crazy itch that never came. I was so confused and beside myself. I didn’t know what to think. In three nights of application, the underlying redness is now gone. The bumps are either pink spots or red dots. The pustules are flat. Such a huge huge difference! So if anyone wants to use Azeliac Acid but still remembers the insane itching, The Ordinary figured out a way to bypass it and still give you a very easy to apply formula that just melts into your skin.
