[Routine Help] Took my first step into skincare addiction with CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser

Beauty Tips For Body Care
First off, I love how my face feels afterwards! Previously, I had been using a simple Ivory soap bar for a few years in an attempt go a more natural (and unresearched) route with my face care, but with the winter months and my (supposedly) combination skin, I had been experiencing some dryness and flaking around my mouth and nostrils. This CeraVe cleanser alleviated that immediately! However, not only has the new product improved the moisture in this area, but it has also lead to an increase in acne pustules exactly where the dryness affected me most. It's ironic, because my interest in wanting to change cleansers was inspired by acne reduction and not skin dryness. Interestingly, although there has been an increase in pustule frequency, there is less inflammation, the head size is reduced, and they heal much more quickly!I'm new to this proper skincare management, so I'm hoping for some insight on what I might try next. I've been using the CeraVe wash for about two weeks with no other products (to test the results of the change and minimize variables), and I have COSRX Good Morning Gel on standby to test its efficacy. It's worth mentioning that I am a 31 year old male, with a long history of acne (cystic as a teen, and frequent pustules as an adult). I've undergone 2 treatments of Accutane, once in my adolescence, and another around age 24. I also have a suspicion that my acne may be Malassezia related, as some flair ups are itchy and crust over.Any suggestions or advice is appreciated!
