Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey all! I figured this might be best in its own thread because it might be pretty long. As the title says, I have PCOS and my skin is suffering. Thankfully I rarely deal with cystic acne, but everything else is almost worse.Skin concerns: I have huge pores on my forehead, right between my brows, and on my cheeks next to my nose. I’m pretty sure this is due to excess oil trapped in the pore, making it look big. I also have a lot of redness specifically in my cheeks, and my skin just does not look clear. It’s hard to describe and my camera isn’t good enough to catch a picture of what I mean, but my skin tends to look splotchy almost?Routine: I have incredibly sensitive skin (and really bad water bc my city chlorinates the hell out of it) so I only use Cetaphil gentle cleanser in the evening to get rid of the daily gunk on my face. I moisturize and use sunscreen daily, with Neutrogena HydroboostWhat I’d like advice on: I need an exfoliator that will help me clear out my pores but won’t be too tough on my face. I have also heard that dermatologists will sometimes say chemical exfoliants are bad for people with PCOS? So I feel like that might be worth mentioning. If you had to recommend a good, minimal routine, what would it be?Thanks in advance!!
