[Misc] New Year's Resolutions: Re-evaluating & March check-in

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello everyone :)It's a weird time, I know. A lot of us are stressed and anxious and uncertain, and that's normal, even though it's unpleasant. In times like these, it's important to take good care of ourselves. Whether it's getting enough sleep, connecting with friends, or working on your skincare resolution. If the latter is a way in which you practice self-care (so not self-discipline, we're already putting enough restrictions on ourselves), this thread is for you!1) Checking inFirst, let's see how things are right now. Ask yourself (and share):What is the resolution you've set?How is it going so far? What struggles and triumphs have you had?2) Re-evaluate your resolutionIf you've participated in this series from the start, you set a resolution at the beginning of January (thread link here). A lot has happened since then. It's likely that your life and the situation you're in have changed significantly.Because of that, it's important to evaluate your resolution and make sure it still fits your current life circumstances.Ask yourself these questions about the resolution you set in January:Is it realistic considering the circumstances?Would working on it help me feel better? How could I adapt it to fit the changes in my life? Those are not easy questions, so talk them through with the rest of us in this thread :)On a personal noteThis is a rough time, and I try to remind myself that it's okay to struggle. Sometimes I feel hopeless, and other times I hear bird song and feel the sun in my face and it just seems okay. I've found that talking to the people I love is very important for my mental health, especially when I can see their face during a video call.To the folks who are are struggling: you're not alone. I thoroughly believe we're in this together. If you need help, look at the wonderful resources in the covid megathread, and most importantly: talk to the people you love.<3
