Beauty Tips For Body Care
Like many people, I've been struggling with my skin for a long time. After convincing myself it had to be eczema, because I was going back and forth on antibiotics being told I had dermatitis. I was determined to find out what was triggering the clusters of red spots all over my tzone and chin.So I went to an allergist. I told them I was stuffed up in the morning but that was pretty normal in the springtime. And that I had resorted to quitting everything on my face for 6 months except an eczema cream for babies as a moisturizer.Turns out I'm allergic to dust and mold. Specifically when dust mites poop they secrete stuff that my skin gets really inflammed from. They recommended a barrier for my pillow and mattress so that mites can't get through and to wash linens that I come into contact with. I no longer wake up stuffed up and my skin looked less irritated in the morning. I also used to have more of an issue on my sleeping side. The allergist ruled out eczema and said he thought it was rosacea. I never would have thought of that because I assumed rosacea was blushed cheeks, not red inflammed spots. I was wrong. So at the dermatologist I went though my skincare journey and he said it was most likely rosacea. And then he told me about mites....not dust mites but demodex mites. They live in your hair follicles and when they poop they make some people's skin react in a red inflammed way. Also, when they die they release a lot of that junk and your face can get worse (purge) before it gets better. He prescribed soolantra and I started it. I was happy to start killing mites on my face. Cuz, yuck!Well...that was the trick! I can't say how thankful I am to finally figure out it was mite poop that caused all this frustration! I can wear makeup again, it had nothing to do with that. Soooo happy! My skin has NEVER looked this calm.I'll try to include a before and after shot later today.
