[Misc] It's Taken Me Awhile, But I've Found An Option For Exfoliating!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Disclosure: I'm still new to this so if my verbiage is off, my apologies!I've always had SUPER sensitive (reactive?) skin. Anything that wasn't water or the one face lotion I've found throughout the years would leave me with rashes, dry patches, increased redness. I'm even talking makeup - I can only pretty much wear this one mascara and then a few eyeshadows. I've been left with puffy, itchy eyes in the past.I digress. I'm trying to share my journey!I have known for a while physical exfoliants are an absolute no for me. Tears up my skin. So when I heard about chemical exfoliants, I was pretty damn excited! Did some research to find one that was less harsh/intense and....a week in I figured out that was no good either. The ruddiness in my cheeks were SO RED.So I went back to my water on my face in the shower and lotion on the face after.I was looking at a makeup remover I had - Ponds Cold Cream - and per the directions, I saw that it could be used as a daily cleanser by massaging your skin and then removing.Oh. My. God. I think it was similar to what I've been seeing as "oil-pulling"? I could see little balls of grime and skin flakes on my fingers! And when I wiped it all off, the tissue was so DIRTY.So I've made progress! I feel like I'm actually effectively removing grossness from my face. We are now....Ponds Cold Cream, Ponds Humectant Lotion, Vaseline for spot helpOh no. I'm probably going to be scolded regarding the Vaseline. Let me explain!I just moved to Colorado from Wisconsin. A few days out here and my skin is acting WEIRD. I have these red patches that look like acne(?) but aren't. I thought they were dry spots, so I start applying more lotion and still nothing. In a fit of desperation, I recalled my awesome farmer dad telling me good ol' Vaseline helps severe dry skin... And I applied it to the patches.Holy wow again. It worked. The following day the redness was down, the overall size, etc. Within the week... gone completely. At the end of the day, I'm just ecstatic that things are working in my favor right now. ❤️
