[Misc] When giving skincare advice, #1 should be to tell people to be careful!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I think a lot of people on this forum, and other skincare comunities generally need to be more careful when giving advice. I see a lot of people here and on YT preaching for exfoliatation and harsh treatments, but quite few preaching the importance of being careful and being gentle with your skin barrier.I.m.o. When preaching exfoliation we should also preach hydration, and how to protect the moisture barrier. When you encourage someone to exfoliate, always encourage them to be slow and careful/gentle! (E.g once a week at first, then increase after seeing how your skin reacts) Same with any other invasive procedure, preach moderation, care, and hydration! As an oblivious noob I was told to exfoliate by so many people online, but no one taught me the dangers of it, and voila, I gave myself a severe eczema and rosacea as a result. While it’s my own fault for not researching enough, I wish there would have been more voices warning me and fewer voices telling me to do more, more, more harsh stuff to my skin.Teach the noobs to be careful! It’s called skin-care, not skin-warfareThose are my thoughts _^ thanks for readingTake care!
