Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi I use 0.1% tretinoin to treat me acne. I get it from a service called "Dermatica" in UK which is an online dermatologist. They formulate the treatments themselves.I uploaded pics and from that they recommend based on the severity of my acne stil (after using tret for 6 months) that I change from **0.1% tretinoin to 0.1% Tret, with Clindamycin and Niacinamide mixed in to help inflammation and acne.I have used this for about a week now, and my skin has gotten quite a bit worse with acne. Particularly I have lots small inflamed spots which have come up, and these are very painful to touch although small.I contacted Dermatica about this, and they assure me that within the first few weeks of changing to a treatment worsening is normal. IN their words:"Our dermatology team advise you to persist with your treatment for longer to be able to see significant difference. Please note that in the first weeks of adjusting a treatment, a worsening of acne may be observed, including the appearance of small pustules. This reaction is normal, it is the accelerated elimination of microcysts that were forming in the skin."However to be honest I'm not sure I believe them.I'm very scared that my skin will continue to get worse though they want me to keep using this.Is this worsening expected? I thought an antibiotic and niacinamide wouldn't cause any initial "purge" or whatever. Thanks
