Beauty Tips For Body Care
Does anybody feel they break out specifically in their home?? (22 F)I’m not entirely sure if there’s any real correlation to this, but if there is then that’s awesome!Since the age of 15, I have struggled with acne. With diet it can certainly get easier to manage, but overall it’s incredibly annoying. I remember before beginning University absolutely SHITTING myself because I didn’t want to meet cute new boys and have pus filled monsters all over my face. I was absolutely dreading it.However, when I began University my acne just... Disappeared?I still had bad texture but it was DRASTICALLY improved from what it used to be? And I swear it had nothing to do with my diet, I was drinking so much (typical uni student lol), started eating dirty takeouts after nights out, even started smoking weed and cigarettes more frequently which I didn’t do previously... And my skin was still as better as it was in a long time? This year at University however, since I stayed at home my acne has started to get worse? I went to the doctor’s about that and an extremely painful ingrown hair that had turned into a boil under my armpit, and they diagnosed it as HS? I’m absolutely convinced he misdiagnosed me though, because from what I’ve read acne isn’t actually a side effect of HS (which he said it was) and the ‘boil’ under my armpit he saw was actually a badly infected ingrown hair. The hair was visible but he was still absolutely adamant it was HS. As a result of this he put me on a course of Lymecycline, which temporarily got rid of my spots (and to be fair, completely got rid of the boil under my arm) but then my acne came back? Maybe I have some Psychological burden towards my house because my emotionally abusive dad only moved out of here a couple of years ago? I don’t know.I started to really question my acne when I spent four days with a guy at his accommodation about a month ago, I was scared for him to see me because of my acne but the whole time I was with him: NO breakouts? I don’t know what it is.If it helps anybody, I think I do have a considerable hormonal imbalance as I can sometimes lactate and my spots do tend to flair up slightly before I reach my period. I’m also quite hairy for a girl, and pretty much get spots all over my body. Face, chest, stomach, back, buttocks, groin area, and other places shortly after I remove hair from there. However, I do feel like I try to manage this by drinking 2X of spearmint tea daily to regulate the hormones. They seem to not be working though. Does anybody feel like there is also a correlation with my bad skin and my home environment, and if so do you have any advice on how to improve it? Because it’s extremely annoying. Thank youEdit: Missed a couple details
