[Acne] I took a break from differin because I had a skin infection. I want to restart differin 0.1% again but I have broken skin from picking at my pimples (I'm terrible, I know). Is it ok to go ahead with differin? Or should I wait?

I was on differin for 2 months but I got a terrible skin infection because my skin barrier was so weak. The infection finally cleared up after and I took some time with a very simple routine of just cleanser and moisturizer. I used this time to try and heal my skin barrier but I also kept picking at my pimples.It's been 2 months since I used any differin and I want to start up again. But I have some wounds from general skin picking. Is it ok to start differin again? Should I use a buffer? Should I hold off all together until no more open wound?Routine (AM and PM): Cerave foaming cleanser, La roche-posay cicaplast gel b5, Derma E mineral sunscreen spf 30 (only when I go outside, my room doesn't see much sunlight inside and never direct sunlight)
