Beauty Tips For Body Care
I spent months on this subreddit researching everything, I wanted to do everything right, but now I'm feeling so lost. My skin has been burning for three days after applying my products, and this sensation lasts for hours. Here's my routine:AMcleanse with waterThe Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%Paula's Choice Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 50PMPaula's Choice Calm Nourishing Cleanser for oily/combination skinThe Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - note: I have just incorporated this into my routine, I only used it twice and not on consecutive days (so I skipped one day to build tolerance)The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% (been using it for a week)Paula's Choice RESIST Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator (for oily/comb skin)Ocassionally: The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% + HAI've read people reacting badly to niacinamine but I would rule it out for now as I experience the burning when I'm not using that as well. What makes me confused is this: I've read on here that some people needed one or two weeks to get used to the azelaic acid as it would make their skin burn. But mine burns even in the morning, after applying the C-vit and the sunscreen, and I feel it for hours - for example, I finished the morning routine roughly 4 hours ago and I'm still burning. It's not visible, no redness apart from what's usual on my face, and it looks much more clear that what used to be before I started this routine. But today I also woke up with two fresh whiteheads on my nose (I nearly never have whiteheads, only huge cystic/hormonal acne) and the side of my cheeks seem a bit flaky. The thing is - I was stupid and too eager and I used Mandelic Acid three times last week (instead of the two I was used to), and I used it right before Azelic Acid, so at the same time in the same routine. I'm not sure if it means anything, but could that cause over-exfoliation?I know that everyone's skin is different and reacts differently. I just hope someone has been through something similar and can provide some feedback. I'd really appreciate any input, I'm feeling miserable.
