Beauty Tips For Body Care
Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA Exfoliation can be such a fickle, fickle skincare step. Understanding what type of exfoliating ingredients your skin might need, at what percentage, and how often can be an exhausting process.Even after playing with different products for a couple of years...I still find myself accidentally over-exfoliating. That ended up being the case with the Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA. FIrst things first, this exfoliating fluid is a lovely thin and watery texture which makes it easy to apply/swipe on using a cotton pad. While a watery acid based toner isn’t that hard to come by...it’s the Kale-Lalu-yAHA’s lack of stickiness or residue that impressed me.From there...5.25% glycolic acid goes to work in removing dead skin cells, reducing dark spots, and all of the other wonderful benefits that AHA products provide. Krave takes it a bit further by including aloe for hydration/soothing, plus a farmers market worth of antioxidant rich greens. My first application of this product did include a slight tingling, but it faded rather quickly. The next morning I was stunned to see skin that was noticeably brighter and refined...Kale-Lalu-yAHA works quickly! All of this without irritation...so I made the mistake so many of us make by adding it to my routine every other day. This turned out to be way too much for my skin and after that first week or so my skin was feeling raw, looking red, and generally pissed. Luckily I had some great soothing products to turn to and was able to regain control fairly quickly (Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum and Centella Sheet Masks).Even though this amazing AHA product is fairly gentle and packed with skin supporting ingredients...it is still potent enough to approach with a bit of caution and ease. Once a week or even once every other week might be just fine for some, while others will want to bump the frequency up as they go.For me, I’ll be sticking to twice a week with a couple/few days off in between. The last few weeks with this toner have been amazing now that I have a rhythm down and it really has become one of my favorite AHA toners/fluids.I don’t know why I assumed Krave/Liah Yoo would release an exfoliation product that might be less powerful than some others I have used/geared towards ultra-sensitive skin...but it seems they aren't playing around lol!
