Beauty Tips For Body Care
Let me first just say, the 7 skins method is an absolute God send. I never used to know what people meant when they said that their skin "drinks up" something, but now I do and OMG it's amazing. Seriously, I recommend 7 skins if you need more hydration in your face.My question is, do I need an occlusive after? Specifically do I need one in the morning? At night, my routine after cleansing and exfoliating is - 7 skins method with Hada Labo Hyaluronic Lotion, spritzing water in between each layer (so my face can drink it up!) - couple drops of green tea extract mixed in with cerave healing ointment. This occlusive step I don't mind doing since I could care less how unsightly I look before going to sleep. In the morning, I do the same 7 skins routine, but I follow up with a single drop of squalane and a single drop of green tea extract mixed together. I'm wondering if I can skip the squalane and green tea and just stop after the 7 skins? I know hyaluronic acid is "supposed to" be followed by an occlusive, but my skins feels and looks so nice right after the 7 skins and then as soon as I add the squalane/green tea on top .... not so nice. I have very oily/porous skin and I think even the single drop of oil just collects and sits in my pores and looks ugly. Also, since I'm layering the hylaronic with spritzes of water for it to drink up, isn't it likely that the hylaronic will absorb that water and thus not pull water from the deeper layers and cause it to evaporate? My skin has been dehydrated in the past, but my barrier seems much better now.I'm pretty much resolved to giving this 7 skins sans occlusive (in the morning) thing a shot, just wondering if anyone else has any experience with 7 skins / hylaronic without an occlusive on top? Thanks!
