Beauty Tips For Body Care
I apply sunscreen every morning regardless of whether I know what I’m doing that day, because it’s just part of my routine now. I use an SPF 50 for acne-prone. It doesn’t seem to break me out (although it sometimes exacerbates acne that’s already existing on my chin). Not doing it every morning would feel like not washing my teeth at this point.I live in Ireland. For reference, it rains and is cloudy almost daily from October until February, and I checked the UV index for today (a typical day) on my weather app and it says 0.Due to the pandemic, I tend to spend the whole day indoors. I shut my blind for 2/3 hours a day when I’m in online meetings, and for the rest of the time I’m working in the middle of a room with windows, or in front of a window.I tend to reapply sunscreen once or twice regardless on season (again, force of habit), usually before I go for a walk (but I’m not super picky about being too careful about it, since for half of the walk the sun has set anyway).I used to never wear spf because in Ireland, nobody I knew seemed to. I only really began using SPF because I use certain acids at night (and occasionally in the morning) that say to follow up with spf.I take Vitamin D supplements anyway, for my own wellbeing, as well as a multivitamin.Do you think I’m doing myself more harm than good by applying such a high spf? (and sometimes reapplying generally, literally only because it makes my skin look dewy lol.)I don’t want to cause myself a vitamin deficiency, or waste my own money. I apply spf more out of routine than anything, but every time I see people talking about how important spf is, they’re usually in a very different country/climate to me.Am I doing the right thing? Because if I’m not, I’d like to know. My spf routine is a force of habit now, although obviously anti-aging is great too. Genetically, my aunts/mom/family tend to have good, firm skin despite (very) bad sun care, so why not help that!I can’t really ask the fellow Irish people I know because, they aren’t into skincare and would think applying spf anywhere other than a beach is just madness. Even my mom thought I was crazy for applying spf 30 in August because “it isn’t hot!” lol. I don’t want to be a fanatic but I also don’t want to harm my skin either.
