Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello, I’ve been using a retinoid for about 4 weeks now, it’s the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene gel 0.1%. I started off by using it every other night, and after 2 weeks, I started using it every night.I’d say I have a mixed skin type, some portions of my skin can get quite oily sometimes, other parts will get dry. My skin isn’t too sensitive. The breakouts have stopped, however, there is still discoloration and physical acne scarring on the front and sides of my forehead. Should I keep using the retinol? I heard it’s quite strong, and I’ve also been told that my skin could possibly develop a reliance on it. I was thinking of removing the retinol from my routine completely, and switching to using the Cerave Salicylic acid cleanser every other morning instead since my skin seems to react well to it. If you need to know my skincare routine looks a bit like this:Am:Cerave foaming facial cleanserOrdinary HA moisturizerCerave tinted 30SPF SS with Zinc oxide and titanium dioxidePm:Cerave foaming facial cleanserLa Roche-Posay Effaclar Adalapene gel 0.1%Ordinary HA moisturizerOnce a week I replace the Retinol with an Ordinary Lactic acid 10% + HA solution.
