Alcohol free sunscreen recommendations needed?TLDR at the bottom. A few months back I moved to a new city and my skin has not been happy. My formerly extremely dry sensitive skin was suddenly producing too much oil, especially on my forehead and I thought maybe the humid weather at the new place has caused my skin to turn into combination skin. My forehead was also covered with tons of tiny CCs which has never happened before. I tried to change my routine to suit a combination skin but ended up with dehydrated skin. Now after months of trial and error and trying to find the culprit in my routine, I’ve narrowed it down to my sunscreen. Every time I use sunscreen in the morning my skin gets tight within hours and then by noon my forehead is a shiny oily mess and again covered with CCs. On days I skip sunscreen my skin remains normal and hydrated. I suspect the higher alcohol content in my current sunscreens are irritating and drying my skin out further. Sunscreens I currently have in my stash are -• Missha Aqua Sun Gel SPF 50• Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50• La Roche Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid SPF 50• Apieu Soo Boo Ji Sun Cotton SPF 50 ( this one was actually decent, didn’t cause too much oiliness, but now it’s discontinued)• Apieu Power Block Fresh Sun Gel SPF 50TLDR- NC40, dry and dehydrated sensitive skin needs alcohol free sunscreen recommendations with no white cast. Both Asian and European sunscreen recommendations are welcome.
