Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have been using vitamin C serum for almost three months. I started off with a serum from a brand called Eclat back in January, which did not have hyaluronic acid or pantothenic acid (B5) like the one I'm currently using. I didn't feel that there were any differences with the first serum I tried. I think it’s really the hyaluronic acid that makes the difference. It allows substances to penetrate the skin more easily (according to dermatologist Dr. Alexis Stephens, who I have been watching on YouTube lately. She has a lot of advice about getting rid of hyperpigmentation). I definitely see a difference using this serum. I had a nasty hyperpigmentation mark from a pimple I got in February and that mark is now gone!I started an alpha arbutin regimen as well, but haven’t been using it for more than 2 weeks. I like to alternate with the vitamin C and HA and arbutin, as some actives can cancel each other out.I wash my face with Simple Foaming Cleanser, and I use Sun Bum SPF 50 sunscreen, and natural lotions such as Very Emollient and Everyone.I generally feel that diet is the biggest impactor of skin health. So, I have been using Cronometer because it really gives you an in depth break down, down to the types of amino acids in the foods you eat. I have found that my vitamins C, A, and K intake is pretty high, not surprisingly because I’m a plant-based vegan. I do feel that topical application of vitamin C with HA enhances my skin further from any effects I get from what I’m eating. I will keep using this product and sunscreen to see if I can get even more even!I cannot find my before picture. But this is what my face currently looks like (no filters, natural light on a cloudy day)
