Promoting proper sunscreen usage is not an excuse to be mean about other peoples appearances [PSA]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Some people really need to tone down the promotion of body shaming. Because some people really don't follow the "be kind and respectful rule" on here. But by making either snaky underhanded remarks or downright rude comments about a persons skin, you are insulting everybody else on this planet who also has these same traits. Do they all deserve it? Why not criticize people for their actions and not their appearance? And yes, Gwyneth Paltrow is a kook promoting pseudoscience, and the fact that Vogue is platforming bad sunscreen advice is dangerous and very very wrong. But it's more than obvious that in order to criticize her practices you really do not need to make shallow remarks. Because by commenting on her skin negatively, you're not just attacking her, but also other people with those same traits. Even if it isn't directly about them, what are they supposed to take from your comment? And yes, some people do put themselves out there and then apparently open themselves up to criticism. But that does not suddenly make being mean okay. Their picture is public and you're still being a pig's ass. So when a person uploads their selfie here on a selfie day, is it now okay to make negative comments about their acne scars or signs of aging? What do we gain as a community by promoting calling people cowhide?
