[review] An honest review of Flamingo’s hair removal kit.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Posting this because I don’t see many reviews for hair removal products! Today I went to Target, as one does after a long day at work, for some good old fashioned retail therapy. I had some things on my “must get” list, one of which happened to be a wax kit for my facial hair. I am a 27 year old white blonde woman who, for whatever reason, has been cursed with the thick black eyebrows of my Ukrainian grandfather. I also have a very prominent moustache which I have a weird affection for, but no longer want on my face. Anyways- for the past 4 years I have been a loyal fan of the Sally Hansen wax strips. They’re little plastic strips that are pre-loaded with wax, which you can warm between your hands. They’re easy to use, easy to cut, perfect for tricky facial areas. They’re not suuuper effective at removing hair, but my skin is super sensitive so I’d rather have a gentler product that doesn’t rip my skin off than the alternative. But today dear reader I stumbled upon the new Flamingo section of Target. If you’re not aware, Flamingo is a very trendy hair removal brand that started (I think?) with razors and has since moved into other hair removal categories, and even body lotions. I LOVE their body lotion so when I saw their facial hair removal kit, I thought “meh why not”. The sally hansen kit was $5.99, the flamingo kit was $9.99.I got home and opened the box. What awaited me was a cute little blue envelope that held wax strips, a little roller-ball applicator with lavender chamomile calming serum, and some post-wax towelettes. Now one thing to note, is that the SH kit comes with these kinds of basic items too, but not exactly. The SH kit comes with a little bottle of toner for post-wax cleanup, and another little bottle of calming oil which always broke me out so I never used it. Both are in tiny bottles which means you either need a cloth or a cotton round to apply them, which I always forget!Anyways. I split one of the Flamingo wax strips and applied. Now usually I have to do 2 passes with the SH kit. Not so with the F kit, dear reader. That sumbitch ripped my little ‘stache off in one fell swoop, root and motherf*cking stem. It took me a minute to realize just how much power I now wielded. I did the other side, and then my eyebrows. It went SO fast, and looked so clean!!!! There was a little wax left on my eyebrows so I used a post-wax towelette. I didn’t have to fumble around for a piece of tissue or a cotton pad like I do with the SH kit, no no the towel is already loaded up with a very nice smelling cleansing oil. A quick swipe and all the residue was gone. Afterwards I used the cooling rollerball serum and I reveled in my baldness. It was INCREDIBLY easy, and honestly felt so bougie for $9.99. I had zero swelling, and zero irritation!! I will never, I repeat NEVER go back to Sally Hansen. Flamingo for life my dudes. I highly recommend their entire line without reservation, I mean I already use their aerosol moisturizer as a body mist/perfume so this was just icing on the cake. Next week I’m going to try their gyno-approved bikini/pubic wax kit. I will update with my findings!
