Beauty Tips For Body Care
Im 24F and have recently gotten more into skincare. I’m naturally pretty fair but freckle/tan easily and grew up in Southern California, so I’ve always applied sunscreen religiously if I’m going to be outside. I used the neutrogena SPF 15 moisturizer everyday from middle school until last year, which I know doesn’t do much but at least I was trying lol.Now I apply sunscreen spf 50 or moisturizer with SPF 30 everyday and I generally try to be careful. I go running early in the morning before the sun is really up and I work from home indoors most of the day but still wear sunscreen. But I also love sunbathing on my balconey a few times a week and I really don’t want to give it up or feel like I’m trying to avoid the sun my whole life. We’re still in lockdown and it helps my mental health so much to sit in the sun with a book for 20-30 mins during my lunch break a few times a week. And I just look so much better with freckles and my hair gets blonder. I apply sunscreen over my whole body 15 mins before I sit out and I never sit there for longer than 30 mins. When we’re not in lockdown I also love to go biking and hiking and swimming at the beach, and it’s very hot where I live so I don’t want to be covered in layers of clothes.I want to protect my skin from cancer and premature aging but I also want to enjoy myself and not feel like I have to cover myself from head to toe whenever I leave the house! Sometimes I see posts here and it makes me feel anxious about being outside and doing the things I enjoy. But if I’m careful with sunscreen and spend most of my time indoors anyway is it okay to be out in the sun like this sometimes?
