Does blotting after applying sunscreen decrease its effectiveness? Help an oily mf out 😔 [Sun Care]

Hello I have OILY oily skin and I’ve been using blotting papers after applying sunscreen to lower the concentration of grease before applying makeup. Does this affect the sunscreen in any way?Also, any recommendations for sunscreens would be so appreciated !! I’m currently using the neutrogena SheerZinc dry touch one but it’s SO thick and has a super visible white cast :’) thank u!!
