[Sun Care] SunBum SPF Test and Review

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I contacted SunBum about two of their popular products recently and thought y'all might be interested in the response. I asked specifically for independent lab test results and what year the products were tested. Here's their response:"Thanks for your patience. Here is the info you requested;SPF 30 Mineral Tint: 2019 Avg 36.18 (40min WR), 33 SPF Label ClaimSPF 50 Lotion: 2021 2. Avg 58.05 (80min WR), 54 SPF Label ClaimWith love, SB"I own both both the mineral face tint and the spf 50 body lotion and plan to repurchase the body lotion. The face tint was too dark for me and had an oily texture that sat on top of my skin (and I have very dry skin) plus I have Japanese face sunscreens that are nicer to apply.Sun Bum SPF 50 Body Lotion Review:I've been using this for approximately a month and it's my favorite body spf so far. Packaging is a sturdy bottle with matte wood grain paint. It has a slightly thick cream consistency, I've used thinner body sunscreens before but I think I prefer this consistency because I it gives me more confidence that I'm applying enough. The white color of the cream fades quickly. It smells like coconut but in a subtle way. I think the fragrance is more elegant than the typical Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen scent. I haven't been out in hot long sun because I live in Oregon and it's been rainy but I think based on the response from SunBum the product is doing its job in protecting my skin from UV damage. Pros are the scent is pleasant, it doesn't take too long to rub in and for the white to fade, and the cost it's not terribly expensive for what you get. Cons for some may be the thicker cream consistency if you prefer a thinner or gel like formula. I have dry skin and overall this product helps keep it moisturized and protected.
