[skin concern] should i detox when my skin barrier is damaged?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
• my english isnt that good so pls bear with me • my beauty consultant and her colleagues ( MK ) told me that i should detox my skin for 1 month because they think my skin needs a break from all products ive been using. they think the products are all mixed and so its causing my flaking, red and itchy over exfoliated skin.how i damaged my skin barrier : basically i overexfoliated, and ive been trying to find ways to make my skin better. i went from skincare routine that consists of cleanser, toner, serum & moisturizer to cleanser & moisturizer. (current skincare routine)i tried to minimise my skincare routine to the bare minimum bc i heard thats whats good for my skin since its sensitive right now.in between the times where i was trying to heal my skin barrier, i tried the LRP cicaplast baume b5 for 4 days and stopped a while ago so i thought that counts as detoxing before trying a new product yk?now im considering on the aquaphor healing ointment for babies to try and help my skin heal itself. because its dry and flaky. im gonna try it tonight and see tomorrow if it affected my skin positivelyif anyone doesnt know what detoxing is, basically you just dont put anything on your face. you just wash it with water or if it feels really uncomfy then wash with makeup remover.i thought it wasnt a good idea to detox ( not wash my face at all ) for ONE month cause first im going to have to sacrifice my mental health and now its already so bad idk if i can go through another very hard obstacle😟 and second,, my skin barrier is damaged which means its dry and lack moisture so if i stopxwashing my face, i would also stop moisturizing my face.. it doesnt sound like a very good idea to me...sooo should i detox??? im scared to detox for one whole month... or are the beauty consultants wrong??please help! :(
