Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've had bad acne since my middle school days, and have literally tried everything short of accutane at this point. Every single product on the recommended list has been worked into my routine at some point with pretty much no success. I've used prescriptions from Finacea, Tretinoin, antibiotics, antifungals, etc. Every supplement under the sun has been tried, never had any great success (at removing acne, my skin has improved with certain products for sure but still have breakouts.)I've always thought acne HAS to be internal. I can theoretically fix my face with a cream or routine, but that wouldn't change my body acne at all or random spots on my chest. So I have dabbled with diet changes to fix this. I've done crazy things throughout my life (fruit diet, all natural, no sugar, full blown keto, no dairy, etc.) A fitness guy I know tells me about his experience with the carnivore diet (literally 100% animal products like eggs beef, butter, bacon) and I figured I already cook a fair amount of meat why not try it out.2 weeks in and my kitchen is a disaster from cooking every day and my skin is BABY-TIER smooth. Several days go by with ZERO acne anywhere on my body. First time in my life I have ever had this happen by the way. My skin redness was gone, no new acne was forming at all, and my skin didn't feel dry like usual. Here's the kicker, this diet is a chore. Cooking every single meal is very difficult, so I want to figure out how exactly this is changing my skin so I can try and adjust my diet back to a more sustainable one. I know the classics "oh you cut out dairy" or "you cut out wheat," but I have done both of those before with zero success. Honestly the only things I cut out were fruits, veggies, oats, kefir, beans, sweet potatoes, etc. I had a bowl of unsweetened oatmeal to start my day out with some eggs and I swear a few pimples formed just from that alone, but I can't be THAT sensitive to carbs can I?I never would have thought going carnivore would cure all my skin problems but now I'm stuck in an unsustainable diet because of it's amazing results. Can anyone maybe help me figure out something I'm not seeing here? Clearly my gut is a fan of meat but I would love to not have such a drastic change with similar results.
