Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have combination skin with persistent hormonal chin acne and large pores on my nose. But I'm also a little bit prone to eczema and sometimes have atopic dermatitis on my neck or behind my ears. I have been using Facetheory 15% Azelaic Acid twice a day on my entire face for about 10 days. This is almost my only active ingredient. Other products I'm using are Balea Ultra Sensitive Gel Cleanser, La Roche Posay Lipikar Fluid for moisturizing and Sunscreen SPF 30. Then I got some dry patches on my cheeks which looks a little bit like atopic dermatitis or over exfoliating. But they are not very red, just quite itchy. I have read about the side effects of azelaic acid and know the itchiness is very common. However I'm not sure if the dry patches are common too, or are they just signs of over exfoliating? Before starting the FT azelaic acid I have patch tested it on my arm for 24 hours and there's no signs of irritation.Did anyone here also have dry patches by using azelaic acid? Will they go away by continuing using them for longer or should I take a break?
